DIA-FIT Colostrum : VITAL FOR HEALTHY CALVES
Biopole propose to the Belgian farmers 2 DIA-FIT colostrum (conventionnel and IBR-). This liquid colostrum are checked in our laboratory and then we standardized it at 70 g per liter of IgG.
The DIA-FIT colostrum helps the Belgian cows which doesn't produce colostrum for the calf. To protect the calf, the farmer has to give 3 liter per calf in the first 24 houres before the closure of the calf's intestinal barrier.
What are the factors influencing the colostrum's transfert?
- Earliest administration of colostrum. 12 hours after birth the calf takes up only 50 % of the immunoglobulins that it took up at birth.
- The quality of the colostrum in IgG
- The amount of colostrum administred : 210gr of IgG
- Hygiene during colostrum's administration
